Season's Fresh : All Green 'Top to Toe'

Summer means a lot of things. It means sunnier days, happier hours and afternoons spent sipping your favourite drinks. It also means the return of summer rompers season. I know, I know — leave it to a fashion editor to derive an unusual amount of seasonal joy from a straight-up clothing genre. But seriously, rompers are a gift, and I will sing their praises every chance I get.

Rompers, in particular, are as breezy as retailers’ shortest options — while offering a kind of mental assurance you can really only get from a pair of pants. Add to that the fact that they’re basically all-in-one outfits that require zero styling work, and you’ve got a summer fashion trifecta that truly cannot be beat. Convenience, comfort and concern-free wear at the same damn time? It’s honestly a little shocking we’re not living in them all summer long.

The array of rompers on offer right now is so vast, so varied and so damn cute that no amount of grandmother shade could possibly convince me to refrain from romp-ing around all season long. I'd been looking around for a green piece since long and found one at SHEIN. It's a classic outfit with the knot at the side, and is airy-flairy just as I like it. Got a deep neck (uhm, kinda weird to look at once, but the deep cut at the back making it sexier from all angles. The length is perfect and fits my style!

Rompers not require much styling, but I choose to add accessories to complete my look. My recent craze for headbands is not hidden; it's also in trend so why not! Picked this one from SHEIN, and heels from SHEIN as well. All green under their "summer sale". Also, added a chunky, black bracelet from GLOBUS, and my rose-gold watch from DANIEL WELLINGTON on my wrist.

Along with that, I'd like to give a huge shoutout to LUCKNOW LIFESTYLE - an online shop, for sending across these beautiful earrings that I've paired with the outfit. Looks really classy; and the customised clutch bag to add panache! It's one of my favourite pieces in my bag collection, has Picker At Pace printed on one side, and a picture of mine printed on the other! I can carry it as a clutch in hand, or hang it from my shoulder like a sling. LUCKNOW LIFESTYLE does it all for you, and they have a wide range of products to choose from; and they do home deliveries real quick.

Honestly, green is one of my favourite colors; or to be specific - my third favourite color. Not that it makes any sense, but it is. I'm fascinate with the summer color and it just makes me feel so fresh to don it in the heat! Loved curating this outfit, that I can rock at a day outing or an evening party without guilt.

Let me know your thoughts over it in the comments below, and do share this post ahead with your girl friends, mommies, sisters and everyone who'd love rompers and green. Until next, love and luck!

Monsoon Affair with Monochrome

Monsoon brings end to scouring heat of summer and the pleasant weather gets under way. There is a positive change in the atmosphere and life becomes beautiful. But, rain doesn't mean going back to the bygones; the change in the weather also demands alteration of your wardrobe. Monsoon fashion has always been associated with light fabric, bright colours, and rain affable clothing. But I always wondered, how would just black and white look during the season?!

Shades of black and white and the damp weather are not usually synonymous. I always had the intuition that translucent white and perennial black individually might not look admirable, but coupled together the two could look divine if carried out properly during the deluge. The thought compelled me to experiment with monochrome and the end result is what you are going to see in the pictures below.

top : Zara | culottes : Pantaloons | heels : Dorothy Perkins
watch, cuff : Daniel Wellington | ring, choker : Myntra

The simplicity of monochrome makes it a timeless classic and it's a revival to dominate our wardrobes in 2017. Whether it's prints, stripes or colour blocking, working the monochrome look is so easy, like my new look that includes a pair of striped culottes from Pantaloons with polka dot tee from Zara tethered in a crop top!

Well, this culotte style features a voluminous leg that billows out from a clinched waist and ends to 2 inches above the ankle making it a great substitute for pants and denims, saving you from drenching and wet hemlines. There’s also a comfort aspect to them — the flowy polyester fabric makes it just so cool! High waist tie-ups and vertical stripes are my favorite for the season (or just anyway), cause they make me look slimmer and taller respectively, and it's wonderful you see. As for the tee, it's a white cotton piece with black polka dots, with a broad v-neck that I off-pulled from the shoulders and knotted at the end shortening it in length. There’s something chic about those cropped polkas and lengthy stripes right now, that make the look appear apt for a work place and a party right after that, eh?

Accessorizing the look minimalistically, I simply added a black choker to edge up my neck, a finger ring in black stone, a pair silver sterling mesh strap watch with a slim cuff from Daniel Wellington's latest collection to sprinkle some glamour, finishing off the look with a solid white strappy footwear to keep the monochrome theme in running, very proudly from top-to-toe!

Twinning Long in StalkBuyLove

Hey there, my gorgeous girls! Hope y'all are doing good. This month has been crazy and I've literally gone bonkers managing events, travelling to places and a lot more that you've been seeing on my social media. With that, it had been really long since the last time I collaborated with one of my blogger friends for a post, and I just wanted to get a new girl on board this time. Hence, I teamed up with Saakshee Khosla from The Style Veda for a quick new outfit editorial.

A lot of you had been requesting me to show you different looks with the trend that's taking over fashion  the Amber Skirt from STALKBUYLOVE. Literally every second girl you see on instagram has been wearing it since it came out on sale and my mails were flooded with look posts for the same. Saakshee and I while scrolling through our inbox finally came up to a thought of sharing our personal styles twinning in the yellow buttoned down skirt, and below you can see the pictures and read some fun details about our collaboration!

She's wearing - skirt : StalkBuyLove | top : Zara | shoes : StreetStyleStore
necklace : Amore Couture

I'm wearing - skirt, shirt dress : StalkBuyLove | dupatta : Old Buy
heels : Jabong | necklace, earrings, bracelet : Auhna Creations | ring : Myntra

Its true that everyone has a personal style of their own and we hate to play favorites, but if we were to pick one ‘70s trend to adopt, it would have to be the button-front A-line skirt. This season, strong iterations in both denim and suede have been spotted everywhere and since we've been searching the perfect piece, StalkBuyLove like always came to our rescue.

Yellow has been my love color since forever and pairing the bright long skirt with a long black shirt dress from StalkBuyLove itself, to give it a structure was my main move I say. The skirt is made of cotton linen with partial lining and inverted waist. You can wear it all the year round with tops and layers. As for this post, styling the skirt and shirt dress with a red dupatta inwardly from one side and gold necklace and earrings with a metallic handcuff made my look appear sleek and gave a hit to the Asian fashion I believe. The cream heels I wore, merged into the skirt color making the look appear super classy and fad. You can really try this look for evening parties and Indian functions as well!

On the contrary, Saakshee went in for an off-duty look, teaming up her skirt with a casual lined crop top from Zara and pairing it with her current favorite sneakers because she's more of an informal wearer. As I know, she's one crazy lover of accessories but for one thing goes at one time for her and hence she only chose to add a silver coin necklace to give the whole an edge and vibrancy. PS : The tattoo choker is like a permanent settlement there. You can carry this look in the day as well as in night by exchanging the pair of shoes with heels! Yeah?

Hope you all liked reading this post as much as we liked working on it for you. If you ask me, both the looks are my favorite as both Saakshee and I have created different styles to showcase. Being different body types we both enkindled the skirts in our own way creating surprises! — Do let us know in the comments below which look do you like more and if you have any further suggestions, do mention those too. We'd love to hear your take on our first collaboration :)

Cuties, back to college?

Cue the flashbacks to adorable baby pictures, when wearing dungarees was the norm. But are they okay to wear as college students? Since so many of you girls wanted me to answer this question, I have come up with something fun for you today! It would appear that dungarees are a natural transition from the increasingly ubiquitous jumpsuit and can be credited to the current '90s revival, with memorable dungaree wearers from that era including 'Jennifer Aniston in Friends' or 'Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.'

Dungarees (otherwise known as overalls) are back again, and designers like Donna Karan and Ralph Lauren are ranking it high. This trend is not only attracting the American students, but is a rage in Indian colleges too! There are so many different styles of dungarees nowadays, from formal dungarees to dungaree dresses and everything in between. But IMO, the cutest style is the dungaree shorts. They are just so wearable in the summer heat and are an easy way to stay cool while being comfortable and looking stylish. There are tons of different ways to style dungaree shorts and you can completely change your look by adding in a few well pieced accessories together. If you're a bit perplexed as to how to wear this playful garment, I'm showing you how to look less like a Minion and more like Alexa Chung.

dungaree, bag : StalkBuyLove.com | top : Zara | spectacles : Vogue Eyewear
watch : Felix | shoes : Rahul Bhatia Art

Dungarees are supposed to be cute, bringing back the emotions associated with youth and innocence. Therefore, your outfit must be light. It is imperative that you stay away from heavy and bulky fabrics that cover your entire body. Like in the pictures above, I'm wearing navy blue dungaree shorts from one of my favorite online sites, stalkbuylove.com, with a striped top that I got from Zara because of its soft stretchable fabric! The best thing about a dungaree is that it keeps you comfy without compromising on style as they are channelling the chic and practical style. The adjustable straps make them really versatile and easy to wear. The key to nailing this look is definitely in the fit. My suggestion would be to avoid anything too tight. As dungarees are often oversized, you need to think about your body shape and about what style and fabric will complement your figure. The details are attractive, from tabs to loops and pockets, etc.

Coming back to how you can wear dungarees to college, I wanted to add a little cuteness to my overall look. So, I picked up my cute bow bag, again from stalkbuylove because they have the prettiest bags of all times and because it is very spacious so I can keep an extra tiffin-box in it too. And since its my on-the-go 'college look', I also added my watch and  my Vogue eyewear because hey, lenses for 6 hours - No No NO! Since you gotta walk a lot around your college campus, I would suggest to go in for sport shoes but of course keep in the style on, so as you can see I'm wearing my sexy pair of converse, with that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious art on it by this amazing guy Rahul Bhatia, these shoes keep me going on for hours from one class to another and the other and further, which is approx 5 kms walk/day. To be true, I'm totally in love with this pair in my shoe section and one more reason to put them on with this outfit was that it matched the greyish-blue & pink color of my bag!

I must say dungarees have that effortless ‘borrowed from the boys’ vibe that can be seen as incredibly sexy. Now, if you are looking to try something new then you should check out this type for sure which is fashionable and fun and comes in a tantalizing variety of styles and colours with prices to suit most budgets whether large or small! The good thing with this outfit is that it exists in all colors, fabrics and also happens to be short. I reckon that the short version is definitely the best option for the summer. Oh BTW, dungarees are certainly considered more of a summer staple but, with the right styling, they can see you through to winters too. Swap crop-tops and T-shirts for silk blouses and cashmere knits and layer with a transitional trench or leather jacket and you are ready to go! So go, checkout the latest dungaree collection at stalkbuylove.com and get your hands on some cute pieces now!
