Little Things That Make Me Happy

Hey lovelies, hope you're all good!

Firstly, let me thank all of you for the amazing response on my previous blog post. It became the 'most viewed post in 24 hours' on my blog and has beaten the others. I'm so glad I can't even tell you in words! Thanks a lot for always appreciating what I write, and for always encouraging me as well. It just makes me immensely happy to say that I'm really really fortunate to be able to share so much with you all.

As we talk of happiness today, lets just dig in some quick points as to what really makes you, or me, or anyone HAPPY! Is it the love that you get from others, or the belief that someone trusts you always, or the feelings of dynamism or energy. It wouldn't be wrong if I say happiness lays in building yourself, over coming challenges and conquering one's own weakness. All this does make you happy!

But hey, does ONLY this brings a smile on your face and you feel gleeful? NO WAY! I refuse to trust anyone who dismisses the fact that little or big things (as in objects) make them feel joyous and pleased. YES! That's what I'm going to share with you in this post, The Little Things That Make ME Happy!

1. Picker At Pace Logo from ThemInABox

If you know me well, you already know my story behind starting this blog (if you don't, please read HERE and come back to read ahead). Having said that, you know how much I'm fond of writing and sharing my thoughts over certain things, which I believe should reach people in any way. Also, to connect with lovely people like you and hence, Picker At Pace is one of the most important parts of my life. Recently PAP turned 2, and I got myself a HANDMADE WOODEN LOGO to place it in my room/office to look at it every morning and realise how much it has grown, and how much it makes me happy to see where I am today, which I might have not been without having started Picker At Pace.

Got this logo made from an instagram store called, THEMEINABOX whose owner does all the cutting and painting of the products herself and that makes me feel even happier because bruh, she does some real hard work!

2. Wall Art form TwoGud

No. 2 on my list of things that make me happy is this WALL ART from TWOGUD, which sums up my love for pizza in just 4 words! This cool wall art makes me so cheerful everytime I look at it, as placed on my wall right beside my bed and makes me feel that true love doesn't fade ever. And c'mon you already know my relationship with pizza so I need not write it here and bore you again! (Well, pizza pizza pizza..will always be my first love)

3. Bed Table from Wrapstar

All those who follow me on Snapchat, are acquainted with my attachment to this MULTIPURPOSE BED TABLE and how excited I was when I received it and have maintained the same excitement till now. My life has taken a beautiful turn after using this amazingly handy bed table. It has cured my back pains, giving me relief from bending down and writing all day and night. Also, avoiding my laps to incur heat in this scorchy summer! This is one of my most favorite pieces and needless to mention, of daily use. My dad was so jealous that he insisted on getting one for him too :p

I got this one as a gift from WRAPSTAR.IN, having won it in a giveaway hosted by one of the bloggers on instagram. This table is really handy and perfect to use even while travelling. Foldable, fits perfectly in a medium sized suitcase, and has a special feature where the top of the table can be pulled up and adjusted making it more comfy to place a book to read or write on. It thus makes me really carefree and untroubled!

4. Computer/Laptop

It never was that I ran behind things or searched for them to get myself some happiness from them. I always found happiness in the smallest of things that I own, and that also makes me stay away from despondency! I find the true happiness in my work. I do a lot of writing, editing of pictures, working on social media and all that happens on my personal computer or laptop (or even phone, to mention). Basically, these gadgets are an integral part of my life and make me feel really sorted, thus bringing a smile on my face when I sleep with absolute satisfaction!

5. Picker At Pace Pendant from Privi Accessories

Last but not the least, at the moment this SELF CUSTOMIZED PENDANT is my most favorite piece that I wanted to share with you all. I had been waiting desperately to share the pictures, and my love for this one! My friends on Snapchat and Whatsapp already got a glimpse of it when I bought it from an instagram store, called PRIVI ACCESSORIESlast month when this blog turned 2, as a gift from me to me. Its one of the coolest pendants I own, and the most beautiful as well. Of course, it makes me immensely happy because 'I now wear my pride in my neck!'

-------------------

It feels so great to finally be able to share this amazing story of my life, about the things that make me happy. I would also love to know what are the things that make YOU happy, because its never just about me, but about you as well, so comment down below and let me know.

PS : All my life, I've seen people comparing themselves with others and losing confidence because they could never be them. As per me, what we should compare is not ourselves against others but who we are today against who we were yesterday, and who we will be tomorrow. While this may seem simple and obvious, true happiness is found in a life of constant advancement! Let me know your views on the same :)

Hanging around in MissaMore

Hi girls!! Hope everyone's having a good September!

I would really like to apologize to keep all of you waiting for this collaboration post, since so many of you kept on insisting me to do one with a blogger. Well, let me tell you, Lucknow city doesn't have too many bloggers, but I luckily came across this fabulous girl Sumbul Siddiqui recently on instagram and she turned out to be one in my city, who writes some amazing stuff on her blog - Style Bon. Well, I feel what has to happen, does happen any how, so yeah I met her and approached her for a collab post and she instantly agreed. Also, we've become quite good friends now and today we both have something for all you lovely ladies, so keep scrolling down and read!

She's wearing - slit maxi top : Missa More | spaghetti : Jockey | pants, rings : Globus
heels : WalkIn Store | bag, necklace : GK Market | sunglasses : Amazon

I'm wearing - dress : Missa More | heels : Forever 21 | bag : Hotel Shop in Jammu
watch : Quartz | sunglasses : Vogue Eyewear

Being fashion bloggers, we're both looked upon as fashionistas, not just by our friends but other girls too! But we all need to understand that not every girl has the same fashion statement or style. Being individuals, we both know what will look good upon us and how we should carry different attires, suiting upon our body structures! So recently, Sumbul and I came across a new online clothing store by the name Missa More and we both fell in love with their pieces. While she chose to get her hands on a slit maxi top, I bought a shift dress that I felt would suit my body. And, we surprisingly picked up plaid prints for both our attires!

When it came to styling both our pieces, Sumbul teamed up her top with a pair of black pants and a black spaghetti and let her maxi top open and loose. Though she had an option of closing all her buttons on the front but she let it out to flair, which also looked more like a cape! The best part about her top is that its a versatile piece that she can team up with a short dress, or a pair of colored pants and any sort of short top, which would even look good in an evening party! Coming to my short dress, I loved it for two major reasons that it was a loose fit and had full sleeves. It is also buttoned up till the waist and has a touch of a shirt which looked quite sporty and casual and can be worn on a brunch party or a casual day-out with friends! Did I mention both our outfit sleeves could be rolled up too? Anyways, so for our feet we both picked up pairs of black heels each because it went perfectly with both our attires. And, while she chose to add a little bohemian-bling to her ensemble by adding a fringe-chain necklace with a similar style bag, some gold plated rings, and mirror glass aviators; I completed my entire look by adding trendy accessories like a metal watch, a pair of cat-eye sunglasses which a friend gifted me on my birthday and a fringe bag which I got from Jammu city about 10 years back while on my trip to Vaishno Devi. You can't even imagine how carefully I keep my things so that I can use them later!

Finally, we're both in love with our clothes from Missa More and since both of us are flawed by the sexy pieces, we would recommend you to try some from the site too. There are several reasons why we liked clothes from this store, and the first one being the fabric which is so durable and comfortable; cotton-casement suitable for both summer and winter months and the quality is amazing too! Another reason is that the prints are eye catching and leave you mesmerized, not only plaids but abstracts also. To end, we also realized that be it the A-line silhouette dresses or the slit tops & maxis, all the pieces are just amazingly designed keeping in mind the different body structures but can suit to the curves of most girls. And, if you're still not convinced, you should go ahead and check out their website for some exquisite designs!

Accessorizing with Pep My Persona

Hey girls! Hope you all are doing good!

I'm sure you would all agree with me if I say, "We girls love to accessorize" and I truly believe that accessories can make or break an outfit. That be said, a true fashionista can differentiate between the accents that are worth spending a pretty penny on and those of-the-moment adornments that are okay to pass up. I'm sharing some pretty pieces below, that I got from an online jewelry store 'Pep My Persona' and I'm under the impression that you are going to fall in love with these at the first sight!

1. Necklaces - I love to keep my look basic with a few unexpected accents. Whether it be the hint of a new silhouette such as a peplum or cutout, or an interesting color palette such as head-to-toe neutrals or brights – I like to think that the beauty is in the details. Our favorites in the above mentioned section would be necklaces, of course. There are numerous designs, styles, and umpteen number of colors and we all love to experiment with most of them with our outfits. In today’s case – curating fashion necklaces is something you should definitely splurge on.

  • In the pictures below, you see two types of necklaces that I'm wearing with two different outfits! First one be the gold-copper leaf layered necklace, that I find absolutely stunning. I'm wearing it on a black top because both the top and the necklace colors compliment each other perfectly. The gold-copper leaves fall on the solid black helping me make a bold statement! Plus, its light weight makes me drool over the piece and I feel like wearing it with all my attires!

  • The other piece is a classic one. The different bright colored bead chain attached to a big statement pendant was one necklace on the site I just couldn't let go off. Many of you know that orange color is my personal favorite and I got this neckpiece for the same reason. I wore it on an orange top and it popped up as a highlight like bright-on-bright. In other words, this necklace simply took away my heart!

2. Ornamental Bra Straps -  We all know that its quite annoying when we have to give up on a dress while shopping because its strapless or backless. Earlier we allowed plain or clear bra straps to show, not realizing that it looks unattractive and tacky! But, we gotta worry no more because Pep My Persona has come up with a beautiful solution for all of us. Ornamental straps for bras are the best thing to happen to women's fashion! They are simple to attach to any strapless bra or convertible ones and can be adjusted to the desired length. From Rhinestone to beaded and colored to mettalic, bra straps are available in many designs and can be worn with tank tops, tube tops, party dress, etc. Well, lets talk about my favorite picks from the store.

  • My first pick was a Rhinestone bra strap that I'm wearing with my rust color tube top. I mostly kept myself away from wearing tube tops because I didn't want to feel uncomfortable pulling them up every few minutes when I go out. But Pep My persona came to my rescue and I got hold of this fancy bra strap that helps me keep my top at place, while giving a sexy feel to the whole look. I am completely in love with this piece also because it has a big star at the back, in the centre, which makes the strap look like a fashion jewelry at once and no one really gets to know if its a strap or simply a jewelry piece!

  • My second favorite bra strap on the website was a very elegant one. Pink ornamental roses attached to silver plated leaves. This popping color bra strap looks really stylish and literally goes with most of my strapless outfits. In the pictures below, as you may see, I'm wearing it with a lemon yellow long top. The strap is reflected as a fashion accessory and it is certainly highlighting the yellow color of the top making it appear really pretty! My motto was only to make the whole look appear beautiful which I think I ended up doing successfully!

---------------

You can now follow Pep My Persona on instagram and facebook for more awesome accessories and jewelry pieces. They keep updating their collection as per the latest fashion trends! Also, don't forget to drop in some comments below, telling me you liked reading this post or not and if it helped you in any way.

Jumpsuitting in Pastels

jumpsuit, bag : StalkBuyLove | wedges : Limeroad.com
owl pendant : Myntra.com | watch : Gucci (gifted) | sunglasses : Amazon.in

Spring/Summer, and today’s Jumpsuits topic, no wonder my mind literally jumps to all those (hideous) jumpsuits from back in the day, starting with Elvis Presley (and his white over the top uber glam stage outfits) and ending with those disco-kitsch uniforms of pop/rock stars from the "Rock’n Roll" age. But as much as we love (NOT) those tight spandex glittery, neon bright circus costumes, going by the name of jumpsuits, designers sure deserve our kudos for how they’ve played up, nipped, tucked and reinvented the classic-with-a-twist jumpsuit. Some gurus of style and fashion have taken this working class uniform/once kitsch stage costume and did a 180 on it, luring us with long sleek silhouettes, silky fabrics, fluidity, softness, loose cuts, plunging necklines, bare backs, halter-necks, long sleeves, prints, solid colors. Designs for day & night. For skinny & curvy bodies. For women and girls alike. Sounds too good to be true, isn’t it?

Well, the best part about having a jumpsuit is that you don't have to spend half hour hanging out in your closet, trying to match tops and bottoms and having little luck, or ending up with a bizarre look, especially when you're running late! With a jumpsuit, it becomes so much easy to pull-it-down from the hangers and pull-it-up your body. Just like the other day I got a call from a friend, asking me to meet her urgently as she was leaving in the evening! So, I chose to dress up in hurry, wearing this pastel blue jumpsuit (in the pictures above) which I recently bought from the amazing online store, StalkBuyLove, and I'm completely swayed by the silkiness of the fabric. Also, the cut of this jumpsuit looked perfect because it hides the extra fat I have at the waste and arms and thighs, and makes me look tall too (you know I always try to buy such clothes). The wonder jumpsuit as it appears to me, has pockets on the both the sides and I love it for that. So now even if I don't carry a bag, its easy for me to store my knick knacks in those lose pockets! Plus, its a full sleeved one piece, giving you an option to roll up the sleeves for a much cooler look; also I liked the chinese collar that can be buttoned up thigh and a belt on the waste to adjust it according to your fit (bow it up in the centre or sides, your choice). Now, I teamed up this jumpsuit of mine with a long owl-pendant chain, a same metal color wrist watch and a pair of purple wedges which I bought from Limeroad.com and that went nicely with the whole look. Since it was a sunny day I wanted to try on my new pair of mirror sunglasses, so I put them on too and to be true it went quite well with the attire. Not forgetting the bag which I again got from the super new collection of StalkBuyLove, this pastel pink & steel grey bow bag added a cute touch to my classy yet comfy look and I was all set.

If you ask me though, I think a woman's style should really be whatever she is comfortable wearing, regardless of whatever the official trends happen to be at the moment. No 'ins'. No 'outs'. There is no better quote about fashion than from the fashion king himself, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld, who said that "Trendy is the last stage before tacky". So I take full advantage of his sage advice and keep wearing jumpsuits because I LOVE THEM! As a busy student by day, blogger by night, daughter 24x7 and a partner in love, I think you get the point. Life is busy! And jumpsuits really simplify my life! These in fact, are fine pieces of your collection that give you tons of personality, and this time there is no exception, its made for all kinds of styles and silhouettes. There are many ways you can wear it, from casual-chic to sportive-cool. I love how versatile this one piece is, since you can pull it up for work, casual outings with friends, on Sunday brunches, movies, shopping or just at innumerable places and occasions. To be straight, lightweight jumpsuits are a must for the summer! With their soft woven fabric and cinched silhouette, they’re both effortless and chic.

As per me, There are just three simple rules for purchasing a jumpsuit :
1) Keep it simple,
2) Keep it classy,
3) Keep it 'SO YOU'.

In case you're still not convinced that jumpsuits are your thing, check out the whole new collection of these modernly-classic jumpsuits at StalkBuyLove and I'm sure at least one of them will make your heart drool over it! :)

The continual journey of THINK TOTKA

Hi guys, hope everyone's good there!

Firstly, Tons of thanks to all of you for the overwhelming response to my first ever video message that went up on youtube a few days back as I completed one year as a blogger on this blog! (For all those, who haven't still watched my video, do so HERETo be true, it was like a huge task because I've always been so camera-shy. Well, today I'm going to be introducing you to the creators of my video, which a lot of you had been requesting, plus I myself wanted to do it so that you get to know who could bear me behind the camera, control patience and encourage me to revoke my mood swings!

From complete mess, to pure magic, a film production company has to face everything at some point of time. But, dedication, hard work and perseverance are the keys to success, said someone
long time back! This amazing production house by the name Think Totka has risen up in the last 10 months like a phoenix. Yes, their journey started 10 months back as the members of this formed team passed out of a prestigious film-making college in the town itself. The brainchild of a Lucknow lad, Wamiq Khan, Think Totka was co-founded by three more friends of his who shared the same enthusiasm like him. So, what happens when so many creative minds come together? Yes, magic! This company is the coming together of talented, like minded people who share a variety of skill sets that contribute to cutting edge media creations. Here work is not only work, but is fun, interactive, and a melting pot for good ideas that are forged in the fires of production to deliver quality media solutions to one's communication needs.

Meet The Team

Wamiq Khan : Founder/Creative Director/Screenwriter/Editor/Sound Recordist

Collecting people and forming a team is the hardest job that one can ever think of. The person has to convince everyone that his idea is unique and productive, since not everyone is acceptable to do something like film-making. Wamiq brought together people who inspite of being skilled in their individual fields were ready to learn something new everyday. His idea was to make a strong brand with collective experience of his team members which could handle projects with all possible perspectives to ensure smooth execution of it. To be specific, you can call him the back-bone of the team, who has always visualized to achieve the greatest of all through his exquisiteness. Also, being as versatile as he is, excelling in his field of work, he guarantees flagrancy in everything that he does, giving his clients supreme output.

Abhijeet Srivastava : Co-Founder/Director/Screenwriter/Cinematographer/Editor

It had always been film-making for him, only that fascinated him. Like any other art, it is a very profound means of human communication; beyond the professional pleasure of succeeding or the pain of failing, one wants his film to be seen, to communicate itself to other people. Since, post production didn't really enraptured Abhijeet, which he initially learnt, he went ahead making short films for quite some time and realized that film-making was certainly what he wanted to do.

Yusuf Khan : Co-Founder/Writer/Performer

It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Being asked to join in while forming Think Totka, the founder didn't really need to persuade one man who actually came out be an angel in the team, is Yusuf. Through characters, plot and setting, he creates places where previously invisible truths become visible, or to make it easier for the director to posit a series of dots that the audience can connect. The vision he carries with all his work is to reflect himself in it. With everything he writes, he leaves a part of him on it with a lookout that perhaps someday, he'll recollect all of it on papers and perish forever in a book. On the other hand, as a performer, he maintains the enthusiasm which is the result of protracted study, resoluteness and reflection.

Ratnesh Pavan : Co-Founder/Photographer/Graphic Designer/Actor

While excelling in graphic designing, Ratnesh really wanted to try his hand into photography, cinematography and acting too. When he joined Think Totka, he knew he needed to give an innovative visual shape to everything the team does. He is available to engage with any kind of still photo shoots and cinematography which also involves the creation of original print communication, corporate identity design, logos, posters, flyers and album art. Other than this, Ratnesh has also acted in a few short films and wishes to continue do so, since its one thing that keeps him enthralled.

-------------------

It is rightly said that a company is nothing without a team. Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work. Think Totka has always been a hard working group, each member of the team inspired by various film-makers, has an individual vision of his own as to what he really wants from life and where he sees himself in the coming 10 years maybe. This is what keeps each of them going! The formation of Think Totka has given each of these men a great start to their achievements. Their first ever project 'Revamp', a conceptualized short film was acknowledged by the Toronto Urban Film Festival in 2014, in the US, which gave the team a boost to produce more such stuff. Since then, Think Totka is also simultaneously promoting & online distributing a diverse of short films and documentaries which embraces culture, faith and philosophies. They have a rising YouTube channel where they have uploaded films like 'Awaken' which is a social message appealing the world to save girls' pride, a social interaction video by the title 'India says NO to HATE', another one being a commercial project for Lucknow's best coaching institute and many more (watch HERE). Other than film-making, the team has also covered Hi-profile fashion shows through photography under reputed institutes like AIFT (Lucknow) and NIFT (Raebareily), in the presence of actors like Kalki Koechlin and have been appreciated by many for their exceptional work.

Be it a brand, a project, a product, a work of art or anything. Think Totka's dedicated and creative crew gives it with the help of the modern digital technology to promote it. They treat every project like a unique work of art which makes their clients grow. They are committed to producing a diverse range of quality entertainment for today's marketplace, with 4 experienced team members, covering live action along with in-house post production facilities, this company provides a full production resource for its clients - right from creative scripting through to broadcast. They bid the project keeping in mind one's budget limitations because their only mission is to deliver effectual and captivating world class films and their long term relation with any esteem organization that will insure the production experience is professional and enjoyable.

Since I myself have worked with this entire team, I can very well say that they have the best collaborative approach which enables a zeal and zest throughout the project. These guys made me feel extremely comfortable and as passionate as they are for their own work, made me too for mine! It was indeed, a lot of fun while I was shooting for the video with them. Its not often that you get to work with such an easy-going team where the members are really considerate and benevolent! I was overwhelmed by seeing them committed to integrity, vision, passion and excellence in every shot they took.

(pictures taken during the video shoot for Picker at Pace)

Think Totka's journey has been really enjoyable till now. In the founder's words, "We make films. We make promos, commercials, explainers, virals, music videos, shorts, documentaries…you name it, and we do it. What makes us different is, we provide you the best professional work within your budget, whatever the platform is. We have no looking back now, since the vision always was to excel. To go beyond what everyone was doing. We always had it in mind, still do, which will make us different is to be original. We want to keep it real, we want it to be ours, whatever we create, all that we do should scream of originality, non-conformism and of Think Totka as a brand name, be it at the stock market, or the business brand of the year, we dream to achieve it all in the years to come!"

So, now if you have an idea of what you would like in a video, or you just know that you want a video made. Either ways Think Totka is up for it. They can develop an idea for you or run with what you have. Give them an opportunity and they will provide you with the best project estimate with options to enable you opt for the best basis in your creative vision for the projects.
