Pamper Your Skin For Weddings at Salon Meraki

It's the Wedding season OFFICIALLY!!!

Now, we all love this particular time of the year when we get dressed to impress, unapologetically hog on our favourite food, and get to dance unstoppable on the DJ music. The beauty of the Indian Weddings is just that happy state of mind! Isn't it? Also, this is the time of the year when every girl looks like Alia Bhat from Student of the Year when she’s grooving on the Radha song or like Kareena and her girls gang in Veere di Wedding. More than the Bride, it’s the “Dulhan ki Saheli” who has in the limelight and why not? The bride already got her D-day, it’s now OUR time to shine.

Honestly, a lot of my friends are getting married this year, and I'm having the best time of my life selecting my outfits. But, one very important aspect of looking my best is to pamper my skin and experience rejuvenation. With my busy schedule, I really don't get time to take care of my skin, but I did manage to take some time out and visit SALON MERAKI recently and get some super beauty services done!

WAXING (@INR 1500)

We started with the first service : Waxing. One of the most important parts of our beauty regimen is the removal of excess, unwanted hair, which can help contribute to the softer, cleaner look. I personally feel there are some benefits of getting waxing done at a professional salon, which are :
1.) Improved skin texture.
2.) No skin irritation or allergies.
3.) No cuts and minimal bruising.
4.) More comfortable, rapid, and produces even better results.

I got full arms, underarms, full legs, and my back waxed. The professional at Meraki made it really comfortable for me, so that I could feel no pain why she pulls the hair!

DE-TAN (@INR 3500)

The second service I opted for was a complete body de-tan. We started with the face, then the arms, the entire chest, the legs, and lastly the back! I personally feel, after a session of de-tan, it becomes easy for our skin to remove a layer of tan, and lets our skin pores breathe and retain its nourishment; also it helps me deal with acne (specially on my back).

FACIAL (@INR 1800)

Okay, so post de-tan I went for a quick bath, and dried myself to lay down for a facial. Honestly, nothing can match the feeling you get when you glide your fingers over your face and feel that soft and milky skin; and that only comes with a good facial done by a professional! Thanks Meraki for the best feeling in the world.
In case you're wondering why is it necessary, I'd really like to share some benefits of facial :
1.) Reduces stress and relieves psychological distress
2.) Promotes blood circulation
3.) Helps detoxify the skin
4.) Eliminate whiteheads and blackheads
5.) Exfoliates & tightens your skin

The facial included cleansing, exfoliating, scrubbing, moisturising, and then the professional gave me a face & back massage that helped relieve complete stress.

THREADING - Eyebrows & Upper lips (@INR 50)

TBH, I started getting threading done just 4 years ago, and since then I'm addicted to the procedure. There are months I don't get time to visit the salon and I skip the process and I start looking terrible! This time I made sure I leave no service untouched. Okay, one very important aspect of threading is that it's a technique that requires a great amount of skill and takes hours-upon-hours of practice to master, and all professionals at Meraki know their job best so I recommend you to visit them for a perfect set of eyebrows every month, and chemical-free removal of unwanted hair from your upper lips, just like I got done.

MANICURE & PEDICURE (@INR 850)

Lastly, I got a very relaxing manicure & pedicure done at Meraki. I feel both these treatments are a must not only to acquire a well-groomed look but also to keep your finger & toe nails healthy. And, while manicure and pedicure is a great way to feel pampered, their benefits go much beyond indulging yourself :
1.) Removes Tan
2.) Stimulates Blood Circulation
3.) Exfoliates Dead Cells
4.) Relieves Stress
5.) Ensures Soft and Smooth Skin

The professional at Meraki was very well learned, and he knew the exact pressure points to press post the cleaning of the fingers and the toes. I was super satisfied with how my hands & feet now looked - very well groomed!

Kudos Team SALON MERAKI for providing the best beauty treatments / services, using the best branded products, all under one roof, at the most affordable prices! I've always had the best experience with Meraki and would recommend everyone to visit them for all their salon requirements!

Karva Chauth Look ft. Strawberry Fashion & BK Saraf Jewellers

While we’re preparing for all the festivities and weddings that are lined up, there’s one very important occasion that all married women are excited for. The celebrations have begun and it’s time to get your outfits aligned. Today’s post is dedicated to all the ladies who are set to deck up like brides once again this Karva Chauth, and will be celebrating it with their husbands in the most traditional manner.

I bring to you one of the most beautiful Indian styles - the classic white chikankari suit in fine net with gota patti, applique and resham work, along with a heavy, hand embroidered dupatta in orange with pink zardozi & pitta border. This floor length chikan suit with orange details looks like the perfect pick for the occasion. The net sleeves fall full on your arms and the orange cuffs with zari detailing on the wrist looks mesmerising. You can wear a white camisole inside till your waist and under it comes a pair of frilly, frock style palazzo pants that gives the suit a different look altogether. You know, it’s a brilliant idea to ditch the contemporary churidar and go out of the box & don something so elegant!

Also, let’s throw some light on these exquisite Polki & Kundan earrings from BK SARAF JEWELLERS (located at Gol Market, Mahanagar). These are one of the most stylish traditional earrings that go perfect with my look. Precious jewellery always looks gorgeous and brings out the best in every Indian woman. Honestly, these look astonishing! Don’t they?

The last minute fashion selection can only be entertained by STRAWBERRY FASHION STUDIO (located at Shahnazaf Road - opposite Sahara Ganj Mall), and hence it’s one of my favourite spots to drop when I personally need something! Highly recommended to all Lucknow ladies to visit this one-stop-shop for your fashion fix. Aditi Jaggi Rastogi - the very versatile designer knows exactly what her clients want, and she designs every piece with the best quality fabric and so much love. So, this Karva Chauth, flaunt your style and create magic before your husbands!

PS : I am 26. Unmarried, and have no intentions of tying the knot anytime soon, but I really hope you liked this quick Karva Chauth look. I may not look like a bride in real but my HMUA made sure to deck me up like one already. Kudos to SIDDHI CHAUBEY for giving me a very bold makeup look, teamed with subtle curls in my hair. So graceful!

Monsoon Blues - Maxi Dress Style ft. Libas

The skies might be overcast right now, but don't let those 50 shades of grey trickle into your everyday style. Monsoon is one of the most enjoyed seasons because you get to imagine the dreamy love with your dream partner. But more than that, you enjoy it because of the lush greens and springy flower blooms right after! The rainbow too needs the rains and you enjoy that as well, correct me if I'm wrong?! As for me personally, I enjoy the rains for I get to wear my favorite styles, one out of which I'm sharing with you in this post!

It's right around this time of year that we start living in dresses. But we've all been told to ditch longer hemlines and maxis. But I ask, WHY? I choose to get my maxi dress game on point, with the right pieces and the pairings. Honestly, maxi dresses are so underrated. I love that they have a little extra material, so if you don't want your legs out in the open, you can keep them covered. Plus, they're super comfortable and great for travel. When it comes to dress designs, they're pretty up there in our book too!

One of my favorite collection is available at LIBAS these days, and I've bought tons of maxi dresses for myself. I am currently obsessed with this particular blue one with peacock color print - iridescent shades of blue, green, brown and yellow commonly found in a peacock's train. Everyone's got the blues at the moment. Currently cornflower, pastel orrice and cobalt are the shades of the moment when it comes to mixing this season's "it" colour. And then this dress is fitted right at the bust, and flairs from the waist; has just the right length and looks adorable!

It's a light cotton fabric - super airy and doesn't harm the skin in the rains. The print & design feels as if jumped out of a French impressionist painting. I chose to pair it with a statement neckpiece in the peacock design, white fashion earrings and a statement cuff in my wrist with yellow and turquoise stones studded on it. Carried a cobalt blue bag too to keep it all coordinated. Everything on point, eh? I completed my look by adding a pair of heels in a lighter shade of blue that matched perfectly. In the end, I also tried going in for a pair of pink sneakers, just in case I've to step in water and skip wearing heels!

I really hope you're trying the maxi style this season! Go varied. Move out of your comfort zone. Try new styles and ditch the mundane! Grab your maxi dress from Libas, on MYNTRA.

Season's Fresh : All Green 'Top to Toe'

Summer means a lot of things. It means sunnier days, happier hours and afternoons spent sipping your favourite drinks. It also means the return of summer rompers season. I know, I know — leave it to a fashion editor to derive an unusual amount of seasonal joy from a straight-up clothing genre. But seriously, rompers are a gift, and I will sing their praises every chance I get.

Rompers, in particular, are as breezy as retailers’ shortest options — while offering a kind of mental assurance you can really only get from a pair of pants. Add to that the fact that they’re basically all-in-one outfits that require zero styling work, and you’ve got a summer fashion trifecta that truly cannot be beat. Convenience, comfort and concern-free wear at the same damn time? It’s honestly a little shocking we’re not living in them all summer long.

The array of rompers on offer right now is so vast, so varied and so damn cute that no amount of grandmother shade could possibly convince me to refrain from romp-ing around all season long. I'd been looking around for a green piece since long and found one at SHEIN. It's a classic outfit with the knot at the side, and is airy-flairy just as I like it. Got a deep neck (uhm, kinda weird to look at once, but the deep cut at the back making it sexier from all angles. The length is perfect and fits my style!

Rompers not require much styling, but I choose to add accessories to complete my look. My recent craze for headbands is not hidden; it's also in trend so why not! Picked this one from SHEIN, and heels from SHEIN as well. All green under their "summer sale". Also, added a chunky, black bracelet from GLOBUS, and my rose-gold watch from DANIEL WELLINGTON on my wrist.

Along with that, I'd like to give a huge shoutout to LUCKNOW LIFESTYLE - an online shop, for sending across these beautiful earrings that I've paired with the outfit. Looks really classy; and the customised clutch bag to add panache! It's one of my favourite pieces in my bag collection, has Picker At Pace printed on one side, and a picture of mine printed on the other! I can carry it as a clutch in hand, or hang it from my shoulder like a sling. LUCKNOW LIFESTYLE does it all for you, and they have a wide range of products to choose from; and they do home deliveries real quick.

Honestly, green is one of my favourite colors; or to be specific - my third favourite color. Not that it makes any sense, but it is. I'm fascinate with the summer color and it just makes me feel so fresh to don it in the heat! Loved curating this outfit, that I can rock at a day outing or an evening party without guilt.

Let me know your thoughts over it in the comments below, and do share this post ahead with your girl friends, mommies, sisters and everyone who'd love rompers and green. Until next, love and luck!
