Monsoon Blues - Maxi Dress Style ft. Libas

The skies might be overcast right now, but don't let those 50 shades of grey trickle into your everyday style. Monsoon is one of the most enjoyed seasons because you get to imagine the dreamy love with your dream partner. But more than that, you enjoy it because of the lush greens and springy flower blooms right after! The rainbow too needs the rains and you enjoy that as well, correct me if I'm wrong?! As for me personally, I enjoy the rains for I get to wear my favorite styles, one out of which I'm sharing with you in this post!

It's right around this time of year that we start living in dresses. But we've all been told to ditch longer hemlines and maxis. But I ask, WHY? I choose to get my maxi dress game on point, with the right pieces and the pairings. Honestly, maxi dresses are so underrated. I love that they have a little extra material, so if you don't want your legs out in the open, you can keep them covered. Plus, they're super comfortable and great for travel. When it comes to dress designs, they're pretty up there in our book too!

One of my favorite collection is available at LIBAS these days, and I've bought tons of maxi dresses for myself. I am currently obsessed with this particular blue one with peacock color print - iridescent shades of blue, green, brown and yellow commonly found in a peacock's train. Everyone's got the blues at the moment. Currently cornflower, pastel orrice and cobalt are the shades of the moment when it comes to mixing this season's "it" colour. And then this dress is fitted right at the bust, and flairs from the waist; has just the right length and looks adorable!

It's a light cotton fabric - super airy and doesn't harm the skin in the rains. The print & design feels as if jumped out of a French impressionist painting. I chose to pair it with a statement neckpiece in the peacock design, white fashion earrings and a statement cuff in my wrist with yellow and turquoise stones studded on it. Carried a cobalt blue bag too to keep it all coordinated. Everything on point, eh? I completed my look by adding a pair of heels in a lighter shade of blue that matched perfectly. In the end, I also tried going in for a pair of pink sneakers, just in case I've to step in water and skip wearing heels!

I really hope you're trying the maxi style this season! Go varied. Move out of your comfort zone. Try new styles and ditch the mundane! Grab your maxi dress from Libas, on MYNTRA.

The Bow Doll ft. Shein

Finally! I’ve had so many questions about SHEIN and requests to review it, and I’ve finally done it. Honestly, before now I haven’t been into the whole SHEIN thing. I love a good deal as much as the next girl, but there was just something that felt weird to me about ordering from there. I mean, how are the prices SO low? It has to be too good to be true, right? Not exactly.

I wasn’t expecting much when my package showed up on my doorstep. But, imagine my surprise when I open the package and tried on my haul.

Note : THIS POST CONTAINS JUST 2 PIECES FROM THE HAUL. More coming up in the next updates (so that you come back and help me increase my website visits).

I love summer dresses and you know that if you've been following me on social media. So, I got my hands on a pink and white striped dress that almost gave an illusion of a bandage dress! I've always been petite and super conscious to don bodycon dresses, but this pick from shein.com was something I just had to try! I guess I saw it on a lot of girls having the same body structure like mine so I ordered the piece for myself. However, when the package arrived, I forgot I had ordered this among 15 other products, and couldn't figure out for hours how to actually wear it, but my insta fam being the sweetest, saved me again...so you get to see these pictures below!

It's such a cute, off-shoulder dress that's high waist with a lettuce trim. It comes with a cut in the centre that parts your upper and lower body covering, with short sleeves. Also, the back is so flattering! But, the cutest part is undoubtedly is the knot (they give you a separate piece of fabric to add it in the centre of the upper part of the dress and tie it into a bow). The fabric is stretchable, and very comfortable to wear! You can choose to throw up this dress on a beach, a summer party, pool party or just a picnic.

I paired it up with minimal accessories, that included a pair of designer studs, a set of gold bracelets and nude heels; TBH, the dress in itself is a showstopper!

Apart from my personal take on the dress, I'd like to share some TIPS FOR SHOPPING AT SHEIN.

1.) ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR DELIVERY. According to their site, you will receive your order in 6-17 business days from the date that it is placed. I received most of my entire order in just 5 days, but according to some of my friends, it has taken upto 20 days as well, so be prepared, or just hope to get lucky!

2.) KNOW YOUR BODY. Know what looks good and what flatters your body type. Not only is this crucial when ordering anything online, but especially when weeding through the crazy amount of inventory they have.

3.) GO BY THE SIZING MEASUREMENTS, NOT JUST THE SIZE. Get out your measuring tape. It’ll help a ton to decide your correct size.

4.) Lastly, READ THE REVIEWS. Super helpful. Believe them.

Work To Vacay, The Eristona Way

Hey pretty ladies, how are you all?

Its been a while since you guys requested me to do a vacation outfit, and I really couldn't get the perfect idea as to what new should I post since everyone nowadays is following the same theme! But I finally thought of a cool way to display some beautifully paired up pieces, including some designer jewelry from ERISTONA

Eristona is the veritable go-to online portal for the most stunning pieces of statement, artificial and costume jewellery. It offers a wide range of fashion accessories with exquisite designs. The website features a special category called the ‘Golden Stone Collection’ which offers real stone jewellery, and registers a perfect blend of value for money and superlative quality!

As for today, I have created 2 different looks featuring all clothing from StalkBuyLove.com, layering it differently and adding my favorites from the latest collection of Eristona. Scroll down to view both the looks...

Look 1 - Dress up for WORK

dress, shirt : StalkBuyLove | heels : Dorothy Perkins | clutch bag : Zara
collar pin : Eristona | watch : Titan | bracelet : Shopnineteen

For many of us, 'what to wear to work' is the biggest question every single day. Especially when its so hot like the days currently, I can say for myself, I hate wearing trousers and summer blazers even when I have to attend official meetings! So, to beat the heat, I created a quick work look with a summer dress from StalkBuyLovethat's buttoned from the front, in blue and white because the colors look really soothing, layering it with a formal white shirt having cold shoulders to let some air pass (just perfect for the summer months). To give it a more professional look, I added a greek eyed collar pin from Eristona on the shirt letting the colors match with my heels, an envelope clutch, a hand cuff from and an old gold wrist watch from 90's collection! The whole look turned out to be pretty interesting and appealing, and I'm sure you'd want to try it at least once, so take a que from here!

Look 2 - Dress up for VACAY

dress, shrug : StalkBuyLove | heels : Dorothy Perkins | hat : Accessorize
necklace, rings : Eristona | earrings, bracelets : Lifestyle Store

Coming to this look for vacation, I created it keeping in mind the amazing times you could show off your exquisite jewelry designs with contemporary clothing and looking pretty AF! Imagine if you're attending a beach party at Maldives (since everyone is going there these days :p) and you're not one of those who want to show off your body much and still look gorgeous, this look with a cut sleeve, midi dress in a tie & die print, layered with a snowflake shrug is just perfect! All you gotta do is add a bunch of fashion accessories like I did with this statement necklace and some chunky rings from Eristona, a few matching bracelets & earrings from Lifestyle and my favorite white heels and a beach hat to complete my look. Looks subtle and sexy at the same time, no?

I hope you liked both the looks. Check out the Eristona website for more designer jewelry, they have some exclusively dope stuff. Also, Don't forget to tell me which look out of the two is your favorite, in the comments below, because I love reading your feedbacks! Much love.
