Curves that Flatter with LastInch

"A smile is the most beautiful curve on a woman's body!"

Someone quoted the above correctly. But there are women who love their entire curvy body rather than just the smile, and I'm glad they do. We're progressing! True it is that curvy women are special, but that's considered because they're classified differently. Not all curvy women are the same. Maybe you're a triangle or an hourglass, a diamond or an oval, a figure eight or inverted triangle. Whatever your shape, you're beautiful!

For plus size women who love taking risks with fashion, there is no word more groan-inspiring than the word "flattering." There are plenty of plus size styles you may choose from. In fact, some of them have nothing to do with your shape at all. Well, a few days back one of my plus-size friends told me, she's afraid to buy clothes online due to fit concerns, and that's what makes me pen down this article today, to help all plus-size women refer to LASTINCH.in where they would find everything they need in terms of fashion clothing! I came across this site while searching some oversized dresses for myself, as I too have started feeling bloated at times and in those moments I love throwing up 2 size plus to my actual.

The trendy collection on LastInch is inspired by young enthusiasts who always want to look in-style and fashionable. From the right outfit for bed time, business wear, to a perfect date night outfit, the website has all types of plus size outfits for your every special occasion. I got myself a pretty dress that I chose to wear at a party recently accessorized with various stuff shopped from different brands. You may want to check out all details below.

If you'd told 13-year-old me that 23-year-old me would one day be sitting on a computer discussing plus size fashion as an actual, thriving industry as opposed to a teenage dream, I would have told you that 23-year-old me must've taken some pretty serious hallucinogens. Ten years ago, plus size brands certainly existed, but they didn't exist in quite the same way they do now. Thanks to the efforts of body positive activists, bloggers, models, celebs, and designers, the plus size industry has grown rapidly. And that means that today more than ever, plus-size women have options!

Scrolling through the dress section on LastInch, I stumbled upon this gorgeous looking piece in pink with lace all over that fitted curves exactly, pre-layered with an oversized see-through georgette top. Its basically for women who have a heavier upper body but love to wear body-fitting dresses and still look graceful! Since I had chosen to wear the dress to a hep party, I accessorized it with some shimmery jewelry to compliment the look! A golden dangly earcuff, silver hand cuff in one and a stack of tassle bracelets in the other hand, with my new obsession in bags - the round black one with multi-colored tassels that matched my dress and the shimmery black heels!

PS : I'd take a moment to appreciate how artistically that bag has been crafted. I got it from Ni & Sa, a brand by two magnificent ladies who want to bring an evolution into the fashion industry with faux leather bags that speak both of class and bohemian culture. If you're intrigued by their collection, you can find it
on facebook, instagram and also on lovethisstuff.com now!

For a long time, "having options" seemed like such a huge aspect of the body positivity movement's efforts, at least to me. But, plus-size is a fashion victim no more! As newcomers jump into the space and established retailers expand their offerings with new collections and collaborations, this category is finally having a moment. You've got LastInch.in giving plus-size women real options in fashion — not just clothes that feel dowdy or oversized but trendy clothes that are made for them. TBH, If I had it my way, I would never call it "plus-size". Though, we use it as a term because it's something to help classify!

I hope all you women out their liked reading this post. I've given so much of substance here, and after a really long time I feel so happy to have possibly shared it with y'all. Do make a move and share this post with your friends too! #ShareToCare

Laces, Knots, Fringes & Straws

Hey dearies, hope everything's happening great! So, I've been in a constant touch with my fellow city bloggers and saw them updating a lot many bohemian inspired looks recently. Whereas, I myself had been thinking of sharing a look on the similar lines since a very long time but I feel I'm more of a free-spirited country girl and like to keep things opulent and sophisticated!

Hence, today I've partnered with a multiple fashion brands (find details below) to put across an eccentric look that includes four of my favorite trends that are booming this season - lace, knots, fringes and straws.

The country-boho as we could name it, history suggests that the urbanity of the look comes from the french period, where girls dressed as art and walked across roads flaunting loose fabrics and lots of colors! Apparently, its true because you would rarely see an Indian girl running around places with fringes and straw hats on head and so we could say its a borrowed craze from the west. Having said that, I am a firm believer of exotic alternatives in fashion and feel that every person carries an individual and unique style which represents a counterculture.

Scroll down below to check out all the pictures from my kind of boho look and read what makes it a head turner!

dress : Forever21 | hat : Accessorize | bag : Old Buy | footwear : StreetStyleStore
twisty bracelet : Aminabad (Lucknow) | bracelet set : Auhna Creations | earrings : Aarna Designs | rings : H&M

Recently, in of the episodes on the Ellen DeGenerous show, the famous Bollywood actress and former Miss World - Priyanka Chopra carried a beautiful white lace dress from Zimmerman and became the talk of the town for the same! I was astound to find a very similar looking dress at the Forever21 store in Delhi and picked it without giving it a second thought. It was a clinched piece from the waist and an A-Line in the fall with a short length, just perfect for my height. I knew I was going to do something impromptu with it and that's what exactly happened when one morning I got up only to find myself pulling out my new pair of roman gladiators with brown laces from StreetStyleStore that are super comfy to walk in & look hot AF to match with the dress!

I quickly called up my team and told them we're shooting for a country side look in 2 hours and my accessories would be bluntly colored in red, orange, green, blue or just any random color one could think of, so we need a location that looks culturally aesthetic. As you could see in the pictures already, we finally stumbled upon a lake view with a broken bridge and some flowery scenes nearby!

To add, the multi-colored, knotted pom-pom earrings have been making its mark in the fashion market since quite some time, so I got myself some mirrored ones from Aarna Designs & paired it with a multi-colored twisty bracelet on one wrist and another stack of beaded ones on the other wrist complimenting the white dress, and of course we even wanted absolute finesse in the style so I carried a black-brown fringe bag to add vivacity along with my oxidised finger rings from H&M. I opted to finish off the look with a straw hat inspired by the actual country girl mode that I'd been discovering in western movies past so many years. Also, kudos to my MUA who gave me the best face of all time, a fresh & glamorous look with bold eyes, sensitive contouring and deep pink lips, and left my hair open to let me set to pose!

PS : If you were looking for a similar style, or were sceptical about trying out an unconventional look, I hope this post lead you somewhere. Do share it with your friends and help me spread some panache! Until next time, lots of love to you all.

Dress-up like the Retro Sun

Hi girls! Doing well?

Okay, so this post in reality had to go up yesterday, but since its my country's independence day today, I just thought of putting it up now to celebrate the pride since I'm wearing one of the colors from India's national flag. Having said that, you already know orange has become my don't-like-at-all to my all-time-favorite within a year and I love it so much so that my bedroom walls are painted orange too! Haha! Now, today I'm sharing with you a look that I created inspired by the 80's gorgeous ladies who loved lace dresses, living now an era of modernisation.

dress : Limeroad.com | belt : Pantaloons | bellies : Hush Puppies (gifted)
hat : Forever21 | watch : Titan | sunglasses : Miu Miu (gifted) | bag : LeDiva

At various stages of the 20th century, there is no longer the "lace golden era", but these years, lace comes back with fashion. The Lace dress has fallen in and out of favor with many women due to poor quality, scratchy lace being all that was available for many years, unless spending hundreds on a key piece. With many softer lace fabrics available now, they are not only comfortable to wear but extremely beautiful and feminine. This type is now fashionable and affordable with many pieces sporting bold colors, daring styles and sexy lace options. From the beginning of summer, lace is coming with a dash of graceful gesture, adding the midsummer night a touch of romantic and charming colors. The reason why lace is so popular till today is not because of its long and glorious history, but its sweet and graceful style!

For me, lace was always something revealing (see-through), I thought I'd never be able to wear the trend until I realized that lace dresses are made attaching an inner piece of fabric as well. And then, one day while scrolling through the Limeroad website, I came across this pretty orange shift dress made of cotton lace. The very moment I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. The floral lace from top to bottom made me drool over the piece. Shift dresses have always been one of my favorite shapes. They are elegant, pure and simple with minimalist design lines. Also, they are extremely comfortable. Since I can’t deal with tight waists in the summer, the shift is my throw-it-on-and-look-cute summer staple! I teamed up my dress with a pair of brown leather bellies since my belt at the waistline was brown too! I wanted to keep everything matching and because browns and oranges go very well together I put on a lighter shade bag, the beige! And the same went with my Fedora hat which I got from Mumbai last year and its been my on-the-go favorite since then. The best add-ons were my Miu Miu sunglasses (gifted by someone very very special) giving the real retro touch to my look and the Titan watch which I stole from my mom about 10 years ago! Even though the summer weather is becoming really nasty and the sun is making us sweat all day, the whole look turned out to be super chic and cute.

Tell me in the comments below what do you think of this look and don't forget to tune into my Roposo feed everyday for latest fashion stories!
